The Greene County board of supervisors will hold a public hearing to amend the current year budget Tuesday, May 31, at 9 am in the board room at the courthouse.
The amended budget reflects a pass through of $124,000 received by Greene County conservation for paving crossings on the Raccoon River Valley Trail; a transfer of $315,072 from the local option sales and service tax (LOSST) fund to the rural basic fund to cover the cost of gravel purchased this fiscal year (prior to June 30) rather than waiting until FY 17; and $10,000 in additional funds for the sheriff’s office. The additional will cover a $5,000 increase in IPERS payments and $5,000 in inmate expense.
The amended budget shows a change in the ending fund balance as of June 30 from $3,771,338 to $3,549,641.
